This another image from my son's story for his lunch on Friday. Needless to say, there are dragons.  I don't know how he feels about the images or story, but I am enjoying drawing some dragons for a change.  I may throw in some surprises down the road though!

Here is Bag 7 in the story Sara and the Talent Trouble.  Sara and her Mom are working on the best way to work through all of the things that are causing them trouble, including her Dad and brother!

Harry Potter, okay just kidding Hermione

I am still working on this week's bag, so I am pulling some images from the summer where I went through a bit of a Harry Potter phase, this is Hermione asking for the Half Blood Prince's Potion Book from Harry.

Harry Potter, or really Bellatrix

I spent a lot of time this summer doodling out Harry Potter Characters, this is a little bit of Bellatrix.  I like the minor or secondary characters more than the main 3.  This was a warm up sketch that I hit with a little bit of color to feel like I had done more than I really had.

More Harry Potter...or Tonks really

This is one of the warm up images done before doing the big Tonks image (here: http://doodlebagdesigns.blogspot.com/2011/09/harry-potteragainsort-of.html) some of the things that this drawing had show up in the final image.  It is a hand sketch with Pitt Pen inking and then colors in Photoshop.

These are some sketches for my son's lunch, he doesn't want them on the bags anymore, but something a little more discrete.  These sketch cards are 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and have little envelopes that you can slide them into.  I am writing a story on the back of them that he can read in the short time he has for middle school lunch.

Harry Potter...again...sort of...

Another little Harry Potter Number from the Summer

After I did the Bill Weasley drawing (http://doodlebagdesigns.blogspot.com/2011/07/harry-pottersort-of.html), I decided to tackle another minor character for fun.  This one was of Tonks and her work as an Auror.  This one gave me the opportunity to generate another complex background as well as mess with how to render magic.  In the end I used clips of Hubble telescope images for the magic and spent the rest of the time creating the things that are getting knocked around in the background.  Good fun for a while.
